I have this one white friend.
And - [mocking] I have this one white friend, I’m not racist. And like - where was I even going with this? [laughs] She’s not even my friend, she’s just someone I know. Okay, whatever, ‘kay, so this one white person that I know - [under breath] (I know a lot, my entire town is white.) Anyway, um, one day, she comes up to me, and she’s like,
“Jenny, what are you?” and, you know, that’s like white person talk for like, [sarcastic mocking] “what FUCKING country do you come from? Like obviously you’re not from here.” And I’m like, “um, I’m Chinese.”
And she’s like “What? You’re Chinese?”
And I’m like, “Yeah, I don’t know why that’s so much of a surprise.”
And she’s like “Well, I thought you said you were Asian.”
And - [deep breath] [pause] there was a moment, a good minute and a half, where I left my body and ascended onto another plane, and I screamed into the abyss of that plane [pause] because she did not know that Asian and Chinese are… I, I can’t, I can’t, I can’t even… you know, whatever.
So, return to my body, from the [pause] other plane of existence in which I scream. A lot. And I tell her: “You know, China, China, you see, the country that I’m from, is a part of Asia.”
And she’s like, “Where’s Asia?”
[whispers] She asked me. Where Asia is.
And I say, “Well, Asia consists of, you know..” and I list the different Asian countries and she’s like “Whaat?”
And I’m like [sarcastically] it’s, it’s this thing, you know, that you learn about in like third grade geography. It’s a continent! And she’s like “A continent?”
And I’m like “Yes.”
And she goes, “so it’s not a country?”
I’m like, “No.”
And she’s like “What’s the difference?”
And I’m like [deep breath] “America, you see, has like North, Central, South, so like, take somewhere from Canada; they are North American but they’re also Canadian…”
And she’s like “I don’t understand.”
And I’m like “It’s okay, just know that I am both Asian AND Chinese” and you know what, she is still confused to this day, and I [pause] am still on the other plane of existence, screaming, as I tell this story to you. So you can come join me, on the separate plane of existence.”

Sometimes I think: “how the fuck do Americans think our standard of living or social protections are good when you compare them to [insert one of many countries]”. And then I remember this.
And then I too, go to another plane of existence to scream for a while.
OKAY so I saw this a few days ago and was like “whatever” but then I smashed my phone in a car door, had to clean up some dead baby bunnies in my yard, and have just generally NOT had a good week. I’m fucking spooked and I’m reblogging this twice to get the universe to stop.
I ignored this too and then i got kicked out of my house. Also reblogging twice.

I’m not a superstitious man and I typically hate these things…but I’m getting on a plane in a few days so no chances boi lol
Y’know I reblogged this a bit ago and was saved from financial probation and getting kicked out of school because of it, just mere months from graduation. Got a call from the financial aid advisor telling me that they made a mistake with filing my account (or some other sort of clerical error) and said that, basically, they owe me money. Welp.
Last time I reblogged the money cat, I won two $100 gift cards at work.
My neighbor always leaves her French bulldog outside when it’s cold and/or rainy, I’ve asked her politely to let it inside because it was shivering and whining, it also usually barked the whole time when people weren’t walking by. About a week ago I decided to call the non emergency number because it was 40 and raining, the dog was shivering beyond belief. TL;DR she ended up with a summons for animal abuse. She came to my door when the cops left and started pounding and screaming, I just played music over her until she tired out. We have retaliation laws protecting people who report noise/abuse, but I felt like I could do something psychologically devastating to this horrible person
The next morning I decided to play a little prank and pull a Tom Haverford with my roomba. I downloaded a video of a puppy barking as an MP4 and put it on my phone, hooked it up to my Bluetooth speaker and let DJ roomba do the rest. It was on 30% volume, barely loud enough to hear through the walls. A short while later, a cop, along with my neighbor, were at my door about my dog barking, where I say “Dog? I don’t have a dog.” And pointed at my two cats at the top of the stairs and no dog in sight, even let the cop inside to show no sign of one. She then told the cop she could hear it moving from room to room, I just HAD to have a dog. That’s when I said “Her dog barks so much she probably hears it subconsciously.” This made her furious, the cop said don’t call about a dog again and we all went our separate ways. I’ve been doing this about every day when we’re both home and I can hear her screams of agony as she thinks it’s in her head, it makes me want to get a dog.
